I'm going out of town until the 17th to visit various cute blonde people in the general area of Texas. I may or may not be on while gone, depending on whether or not I feel like checking in with you losers instead of basking in the presence of a blonde angel.

"various people" here being used in the usual sense of "singular person". We like to refer to not only ourselves in the plural, but basically everyone else as well.
